Shop Floor Control System Labels

Overview:
Assembly and fabrication operations have found a new tool for production control. Even order fulfillment can be enhanced with this tool: Plastic totes. These totes are used to move items through a plant and deliver them to the appropriate workstation at the right time. When you rely on automation to improve productivity, you don't want the label to be the reason for failure.
Watson Label Products has designed its tote label to the highest standards of performance. Control of the plastic totes is accomplished with bar codes, fixed-mount scanners and a computer system that keeps deliveries correct and on time. Normal wear and tear in a plant environment can compromise the face of the label making it unreadable and not all adhesives adhere well to the slick surface of these durable plastic tubs.
Features:
A laminated label is tough and the image lasts. Additionally, Watson Label Products uses a special formulation of acrylic adhesives designed to perform on low surface energy plastics like polypropylene that tend to bleed plasticizers throughout their useful life. Labels that fail can compromise the system because the tub cannot be identified. Abrasion from nesting the tubs will not affect the label. If the tub is to be returned to a vendor to be refilled, the abuse of life outside the shop floor is not a problem. The right adhesive is extremely important.
